SO Overdue!

I have been making things off and on lately but haven't posted. I only have a few pictures today and will add more hopefully soon. Enjoy these!

This is made from Scrabble tiles. I have made several others as gifts that said things like a new baby's name, "Friends", "Hope", "Family"  etc. I can make it say anything as long as it fits, in any color. Let me know if you would like to order one. They are $8.00 and would be a great gift.

I added this stamp to a plain white plate in permanent white ink and will use it for a gift with come cookies or something. I have tons of stamps and themes that could go on dishes....the ideas are endless!!!

Ok, this is my favorite thing and an idea that is about 5 years in the making! Years ago I found a fallen aspen tree and made Josh bring it home for me. It has been either in our basement or backyard ever since. A few weeks ago my stepdad Larry helped me cut in into pieces and drill holes in each one for tea lights. Since them I have worked on sanding each piece until it is satiny smooth. I am then adding some kind of ribbon or decoration to each. These are just the first two. I have about 20 more of various sizes. I want to decorate some for fall and some for Christmas. I would love to decorate these with certain types of ribbons or elements for you! They would look awesome in groups of two or three! Aspen wood is very light - in color and in weight. I have also seen candle holders similar to these selling in mountain towns up here for about $30 - way to pricey!  Another idea would be to monogram them... Please let me know if you have an idea and would be interested in some for Christmas gifts. These are just the first two that I finished and took pictures of.

Thanks! Shiloh

Baby Stuff

I recently made some extra cash by sewing a few receiving blankets for a friend of a friend.

I made this diaper cake a month or so ago for my stepmom's niece. It was the first one I had ever made and I had a lot of fun doing it. Forgive the picture. I had already packed it to ship and then realized I forgot to take a picture so I took it out of the box in a hurry, put it together, and took a picture. The blanket it is on is a receiving blanket I made to match the cake and serve as a base as well.

Lastly, a few different types of baby slings! I loved making these. The pictures aren't the greatest to show off the sling but I wasn't sure how to do it. The first is more of a tube style. It is safe and isn't like the ones that have been recalled. It holds the baby close and you can hold them different ways as they grow from against your stomach or chest to on your hip or back. It is also reversible!
The second sling I made for my friend Melanie (I borrowed one of your FB pics Mel). It is called a ring sling and is either one thick piece of fabric or two thinner pieces (like Mel's, making it reversible). You can adjust this sling so that almost anyone can wear it. It is also able to be used several different ways as the baby grows.

 Slings are $50
Flannel Receiving blanets (large, and GREAT for swaddling) are 3 for $25
Thanks for looking!

Cards

These are some of my favorite cards that I have made lately. I kind of get on kicks where I only use a few stamp sets at a time then I switch.  These were all made with a certain person or event in mind. I can do the same basic design in almost any color with almost any type of greeting.

Cards are $12 for a set of 5 with envelopes and you pick the colors/greeting etc.

Enjoy and please let me know any feedback!

Getting started!

I have tried for a few years to come up with a way to make some extra money (hopefully) on the side while doing the crafty things that I enjoy so much. I have experimented with various craft fairs, ebay, etsy and have looked into selling things to some small businesses in town that specialize in goods made by local merchants. All of those things are great, but I think that this site may work out the best.

What I plan to do is post various projects that I think people may be interested in purchasing. I will also put labels on each of the posts ex. baby, home decor, clothing, holidays, etc. Each posting will have pictures, prices and options. I am 100% open to variations and ideas that you may have for an order so please just ask. Some things may be ready to ship right away but most will need about a week or two for me to complete the project.

If you have any special requests please let me know that as well and we can work together on something.

I am so excited to see how this works out. Even if using my services isn't something you might be interested in, please keep this endeavor in your prayers and share it with others!

Thanks,
Shiloh
